Calaris Parlor is a small online bulb counter in Jaipur selling caladium, hosta, amaryllis and dahlia stock. We grade by bulb size, print the planting window for Indian conditions, and say plainly that no seller can guarantee a flower.
Calaris Parlor is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Calaris Parlor at calarisparlor.shop. We are online-only — there is no showroom and no walk-in counter; the address on our invoices is the registered office and packing room.
Why the planting window is on every page
A first order of caladium tubers went into the ground in February because the pack said spring, which is true somewhere else. In Jaipur that soil was still too cold, the tubers sat and sulked, and half of them rotted before the heat arrived. Nothing was wrong with the bulbs.
That is the failure mode in this category: good stock planted at the wrong time, then blamed on the seller. So every listing carries the size grade, the depth, the spacing and the planting window written for Indian conditions rather than copied from a northern-hemisphere catalogue. We would rather delay a dispatch through a heatwave than post living stock into a forty-degree van.
Graded, counted, dated
Bulbs are graded by circumference and counted into the pack by hand. The count on the label is the count in the bag.

Depth, spacing and the month to plant, written for Indian seasons. It is the single most useful thing on the page and it is free.
No germination promise
We cover variety, count and condition on arrival. Sprouting depends on your soil and season, and we will not pretend to control either.
What we will not claim
We will not photograph a bloom that our stock cannot produce in its first season, we will not sell last year’s tubers as current stock, and we will not promise a flowering date. Gardeners find out the truth about a bulb seller three months after the sale, which is exactly the wrong time to have been optimistic.
